In India, tea is usually drunk in every household and people also have an addiction to it. Anubhav and Anand converted this tea addiction into their business idea and started earning crores.

Anubhav Dubey’s parents had sent him from the village to Indore for further studies. Here she befriended a young man named Anand Nayak. Both used to study together, but after a few days, Anand left his studies and started doing business with one of his relatives. Anubhav was sent to Delhi by his parents to prepare for UPSC. He wanted him to become an IAS officer. Time passed and both the friends started searching for their respective destination.

After some time suddenly Anand Nayak’s phone came to Anubhav and both of them talked for a long time. During this, Anand told with a sad heart that his business is not doing well, both of us should do some new work together. Somewhere in Anubhav’s mind, the idea of business was growing and he said yes and both started planning business together.

During the planning of the business, both of them have thought in their mind that tea is drunk after water in the country. There is a lot of demand for it everywhere and it will not require much money to start it. Then both decided to open a tea shop. Whose model and test both will be unique which will target the youth.

In 2016, these friends opened the first tea shop in Indore at a cost of three lakhs. Anand invested some money from the savings of his first business. Anubhav told that he took a room on rent along with the girls hostel. Bought some second hand furniture and designed the outlet by borrowing some money from friends. During this the money ran out and they did not even have money to put up banners. Then on a normal wooden board, the name of the tea shop was written by hand, ‘Chai Sutta Bar’.

It was not all that easy for both the friends, Anubhav and Anand had to face a lot of trouble in the beginning. Anubhav told that people used to taunt and tell parents that you wanted the son to prepare for UPSC but he started selling tea. Anubhav’s father also did not want both of them to do this work. Gradually the customers started increasing and they started earning good income.

The name Chai Sutta Bar gradually became famous and news started running in the media. Then both of them also started getting support from the family. They tell that today our annual turnover is more than Rs 100 crore and they have 165 outlets across the country, which are spread in 15 states. Along with this, both of them have made a register in which the names of those people who used to refuse us to do this work have been written.

Anand and Anubhav say that when they open their new outlet, they give free tea and coffee to everyone. It is also a kind of business strategy. With this excuse, people also come to know about our business and after liking tea, they also become our customers. We have 165 outlets across the country and 5 outlets abroad.

Anand and Anubhav told that their business has also given employment to 250 potters. The potters do the work of making kulhads for them. Every day 1.8 million customers visit outlets across the country. They sell 9 different flavored teas. In which there is ginger, cardamom, betel, saffron, basil, lemon and masala tea.

The menu of Chai Sutta Bar has tea ranging from Rs.10 to Rs.150. Soon those people are going to increase the number of their outlets. His effort is that there should be such a model of tea in every small town across the country so that the poor can also get employment.

These people work on the franchise model. The tea formula is sent to the person running the franchise. After that we charge some commission and the rest of the business goes to the outlet owner. New outlets are opening very soon. Its demand has increased a lot, 2 to 6 lakh rupees are taken from the franchisee model.
